The Bucharest Stock Exchange has continued to gain visibility, with the BET index recently around the 30,000-point area and made up of 20 of the most liquid companies listed on the local market. Key sectors like banking, energy, utilities, telecom, and healthcare remain central to the index’s performance.

For investors, BVB is not just a “local market” story anymore. It reflects Romania’s economic development, dividend culture, energy-sector strength, and the gradual deepening of the capital market.

That said, strong past performance should not replace discipline. Before investing, it is worth looking at fundamentals, valuation, dividend sustainability, liquidity, and portfolio diversification.
